This afternoon adventure takes us to the lovely Dubrovnik Riviera and its villages Mlini, Srebreno, Kupari and Postranje.
Join us on a short boat cruise from Dubrovnik Old Town harbour to the lovely village Mlini. Upon arrival, your guide will walk you through the village which got its name from the many water mills that used to be an important economic source at the times. The whole area is rich in drinking water sources, which makes it an ideal place to be during hot summer days.
The walk continues through a lovely park to the village Srebreno - a favorite summer resort since the beginning of the last century, thanks to its long sandy beach. The Mediterranean nature and promenade through the village offer a sense of peace in relation to the Dubrovnik city bustle.
Continuing our walk we arrive to Kupari, a former holiday resort of the Yugoslav military elite, which today stands in ruins since the Homeland War in the 1990s. This place often stuns visitors, not expecting to see an absolute contrast to the beauty of Dubrovnik city.
After exploring this resort, it will be time to say goodbye to your guide. A transfer will take you to Postranje - a set of villages located at the foot of Mount Malaštica, where your host will wait for you. From here you will start a 15 minute off road hike until you reach vineyards and olive groves of your host, whose family started farming these lands in the 14th century for Dubrovnik nobility. On the way to the vineyard you can expect fresh air, beautiful nature and spectacular view to Župa dubrovačka and its bay. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a welcome drink in the vineyard, followed by the story of cultivating olives and wines. You will be invited to touch and feel olives and wine leaves while enjoying fresh air and peaceful nature. After the presentation and tasting, you’ll walk downhill with your host to the starting position where a transfer will wait to take you back to your accommodation. This experience requires moderate activity. Grape harvesting experience is availabele only in September/October and olive harvesting in October/November, depending on weather conditions.
This half-day adventure in Dubrovnik Riviera will satisfy all who wish to spend their time in nature, explore abandoned buildings, walk around little Mediterranean villages and learn about the local culture.
